Eh, Hello Words!
So, Coldplay made my last Monday; the best Monday i've ever had in my life. It was pure ecstasy and i'm still raving about it. The media and the papers gave fantastic reviews except for the fact about the whole ticket issue about this foreigner and company whatsoever. Well, it was their loosing end anyway, cause you can count the other 10,000 people that packed the indoor stadium to be enjoying the crap out of themselves.
Anyway, i had dinner at Mimolette with some friends tucked away behind the Old Turf Club. It's a nice quaint little place, but the destination is nothing but quaint. Off Sixth Avenue, i swear it's one of those underground uprising entertainment hubs. Well, to name a few, Dempsey, One Rochester, Cicada, White Rabbit etc. Great places, but with evil destinations. Thrown amongst the "outskirts" of Singapore where getting to it is best travelled via a comfortable four wheel drive. Don't get me started about leaving the place yeah. Anyway, it's a nice place to chill, grab some drinks and such. I mean clubs nowadays are so over-rated; letting your hair down at a chill down place sometimes is good for a change. It has a nice atmosphere, somehow or rather their deco reminded me vividly of my room haha. Well one thing is for sure, you need the greens to travel and to indulge in such places. Trust me, i don't do this daily but slight luxury once in a while is okay right? With 5 days a week slaving, i need a place and time to rewind.
Tampines One is opening next week with Uniqlo as their first store launch woohoo but i can't make it for their damn opening because i'm involve in a DKNY fashion show next weekend crap. Well, fellow readers do drop by Lido for a DKNY fashion show on the 4th of April; shit i can't remember what time it's gonna be haha. Well i'll update you guys soon.
Supposed to head down to St. James earlier but Serene kept quiet which includes Jason. Oh well. Did you guys participate Earth Hour?! Well i did. I'm not really a green person. I leave the lights on at times, not forgetting about other electrical appliances. Well, participating Earth Hour was my part of contributing to the world and i've promised myself that i'll make sure i'll do at least something green daily :]
I've got a kid in my premises screaming to everyone to shut their damn lights off at 830pm earlier. How cute is that?
Well these photos are slightly overdued but it was a surprise birthday party for Mona. Which obviously ended in an array of phototaking moments. I love these guys, and it's been a week plus since i've seen them and I UTTERLY MISS THEM boohoo. Oh well, absence makes the heart grow fonder! Okaye, the photo belows are the epitome of being a camera addict, so don't say i didn't warn you yah. Goodnight|Morning!
"...poker la..."
The Coolest Shit in The Whole Wide World!
I WANT MORE COLDPLAY!!!!!!
"...see you soon....."
Jaw dropping, pee quenching, tonsils screaming, sweat trinkling, body jumping, nerve wrecking, miracle making, visual grabbing, heart throbbing, mind blowing, superb singing, chris martining, and coldplaying. The best concert ever in the whole wide world. Nope, i'm not exaggerating. Yup Nadi you're right, my hair stood the entire concert.
Hands down, face down, legs down, etc to Coldplay.
"....viva la vida...."
It's Been A While.
So, hello to one an all.
I've been busy, pretty much i've been so busy that apparently i'm regulating proper sleeping hours because i need the right amount of energy for me to go through the next day. Well, meaning that i have a proper snoozefest doesn't mean i've got little work; it just means that i go kapoof right after i'm done with work. Trust me, this happpens DAILY. I'm all ready for work the next day, with the adrenaline and blood pumping. The moment i'm done, i'm greeted with drowsy moments and droopy eyes. Woo.
I do need a break.
The long weekend that's just around the corner (Good Friday) doesn't seem promising at all. I've got an event to handle on the 11th of April, and it's going to take almost the whole day and maybe on the 10th as well. Geez. This applies to following weekend too. On the brighter side; i'm actually enjoying what i'm doing.
Everything has been slightly crazy lately, but i'm not gonna bore everyone about it. I'm pretty tired right now, but one quick one word - I love all my friends. It's so random, but i've decided not to give that shoutout a miss. Come to think of it, it is extremely random haha.
I LOVE ALL OF MY FRIENDS :]
There it goes again. No point explaining why i've decided to portray that message, i'm in a random mood right now. Now, that's new. But hey, i'm not complaining and you shouldn't be too alright. *jumps for joy*
Goodnight all!
"...hey ho cheerio..."
I'm just oddinary.
Until i manage to find time for technology and my life; you'll be greeted with an empty entry.
Lately, i've got visions or thoughts fogging up my mind. Nothing of sense though. Hmm.
Never Enough
Crap. I still can't get enough of Jason Mraz. His concert was good, so good. Well technically his vocals, charisma and how engaging the whole concert was. I've found some videos of the concert so view em' below. It's some of my favourite performances of that night, and how unfortunate that Lucky didn't make it to my list cause i think Joi Chua didn't really pulled it off that well. Oh well, i think i'll just upload it. Enjoy :]]
You and I (Live)- Singapore Indoor Stadium, 5th March 09.
Mr Curiosity (Live) - Singapore Indoor Stadium, 5th March 09.
Lucky Feat. Joi Chua (Live) - Singapore Indoor Stadium, 5th March 09.
The Remedy (Live) - Singapore Indoor Stadium, 5th March 09.
I'm Yours (Live) - Singapore Indoor Stadium, 5th March 09.
And all of us that went :]
I really can't wait for coldplay man, like seriously. Okay this entry sounds repeated. But i don't care, good stuff tend to linger and i am spreading the positive here alright. Hurhur. By the way, a little promo; show me some love by coming down to the design exhibition by Noise Singapore (National Arts Council) at Far East Plaza Level 1. The whole exhibition will last until 29th March 2009. It's an exhibition that features local aspiring artistes and designers. It's more of a platform for these budding local talents. I designed the entire exhibition from scratch. Long hours and slaving through the night = i pulled it off. The media loved it and i've got a string of contacts up my sleeves wanting my services. WOOHOO! Happy shit. Well, i hope you guys like it :] Here's a preview.
ANOTHER freelance project that made me burn the midnight oil was doing some graphic designs for my secondary school 30th Anniversary Dinner. Well, the whole idea of an alumni dinner is relatively boring so i got to jazz up the posters and graphics. I swear, i think it's a little too wordy but whatever; the information wasn't coming from me yah. By the way, any Bedok View Secondary School Alumni that happened to come across my blog please support the event. But that's that, a few freelance projects over and done with. But like i said earlier, i've got a waiting list for now. I swear juggling real work and freelance = a dysfunctional mind. Just yesterday, i dreamt of Sigfreid and Roy. HOW BLOODY RANDOM IS THAT? Anyway, some works below for my good ol' school, from tickets, posters and banners.
"...i want more..."
aMRAZing; gosh i'm lame.
Caught Mason Jraz (Jason Mraz of course) earlier and boy it was good. I swear, his albums doesn't serve him any justice because honestly he sounds way better live. It wasn't an out of this world concert, but it was great enough for me to start grooving. Well i guess, he is rather engaging towards his audience and when he croons, his vocal range seriously puts you in a jawdropping awe. By the way, he made it look effortless. I thought they could do better with the set, well technically they could have at least done SOMETHING to the set besides the usual lightplay but all in all, it was fantastic. I wanted more even though my throat is running hoarse from all the screaming and singing.
Well no photos at the moment, why? Both myself and Nadi did not bring our digital devices into the stadium. Smart aye? Well, at least Nasirah has a group photo of all of us; after the concert that is haha. I guess his best performances were, You and I, The Remedy, I'm Yours and A Beautiful Mess. Well that's that, can't wait for Coldplay in two weeks time! Yeah! So drove down to Changi together with Din and Nadi for some good nasi lemak indulgence right after the concert. I hate cold wet nights, only when i'm outside haha. Anyway i'm off too bed!
"...nibble your ear..."
